Here are piccies and links of some of my many friends from IRC, ICQ and from the clubs and pubs that I've been going to. As this has become rather a large page that takes forever to load, clicking on the button beside the Nick will load a piccy and clicking on the Nick will link to their homepage, where available. As there are now so many entries on here, I've arranged them in alphabetical order by Nick. If I've left you out, you want me to use a different piccy, I've omitted a link to your web pages or you want anything changed or removed, please catch me on IRC (IRCNet & vweNet), ICQ, AIM or Yahoo.

AcmeBoy - I met David in May 1996, when he needed somewhere to stay near London on a Saturday night. We hit it off really well - shame he lives in Glasgow though!

aerowolf - I met Gary at Pride 1996, he joined us on the march and at Clapham Common. He had flown over from the U.S. and is a regular on IRC.

Ampy - I met Dave in August 1996 after many chats. We met for a fun evening scoffing and quaffing.

andy-oxfo - I met Andy in March 1996 on my first visit to a gay pub, the Jolly Farmer in Oxford. We met again at Pride 1996. We've chatted loads on IRC before and since.

Ang_ - Ang is Garry's wife and a truly wonderful and supportive person. I met her at the Blackpool meet in June 1996.

bignick - I met Nick at one of the Southampton bashes in 1996, he along with Martin (the_bod) organises the monthly meets. EMail the list server with SUBSCRIBE GAYSOUTH in the first line of the message if you want to be put on the mailing list for these events.

Binky - RuS and I met in 1997 when he popped up from darkest Kent for a visit - another all round nice guy. Thank goodness he's finally got rid of that nasty goatie!

brs (piccy coming soon,allegedly) - I've met Bryan at one of the Southampton meets, at Lunchie's party and at The Kings Arms. He's a very funny guy. We shared the floor at The_DJ's after the club - there were 8 of us staying that night!

cello - I met David on one of his many trips down south in November 1996.

chris_w - Chris and I met at one of the Southampton meets and we've chatted lots on channel - another all round nice guy.

cjb - Chris is a whiz with a camera and a scanner and tries to get to as many of the #uk-poofs meets as possible. He's also started on a serious diet, following my example - good luck with it Chris.

CuteBeast - I met George in June 1996 at Lunchie's party, after many chats on channel.

DaffyD - I met Neil (4th from the far end, in front of the guy with the baseball cap) at Pride 1996 after many chats on channel - a nice guy, hope to see him again soon.

Davelet - we've spoken lots on channel and it was nice to finally meet in June 1996 at Lunchie's party.

dreambo- - I met Ed when a bunch of us took part in the live studio audience for the Russ'n'Jono Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio on 15 Sep 1997. It was a scream!

Deceiver - Formerly Gordy, I met Gordon in July 1996 during one of my trips to Glasgow, we've been chatting on IRC for ages and it was very nice to get together.

Defiant - I met Peter on #uk-poofs on my first day, a fellow radio ham, he spotted my callsign in my old EMail address and pounced on me for a chat. He took me to my first gay club, Orville's in Portsmouth, and is now a very close and dear friend. Thanks Peter, you're a real sweetie and I owe you *so* much!

DJiggles - ex DJ17 and ShyGuy - I met Mart (the one on the right of the piccy!) at a Brighton meet in August 1996.

drewd - I met Mark in May 1996, he's fun and *another* good listener.

Eagle_UK - I also met Gerry in June 1996 at Lunchie's party, even though I worked in the town in which he lives, it took almost three months for our paths to cross!

Ferman - I met Mark for the first time at Pride 1996, since then we have met for a few beers - well done on the #uk-poofs homepage work!

FitBoy - Kevin & I met one evening in May 1996 after a chat on channel.

FreeLorn - I met Rob at a Southampton meet in April 1996.

Fruitbat/cybertits - I met Fruitbat in June 1996 at Lunchie's party.

Garry_ - Garry is one of the nicest guys on channel, I've now met him many times, but feel like I've known him for years.

G_Fluff - I met Steve, finally, in June 1996 at Lunchie's party on one of his trips back from the U.S. We've chatted much on IRC before and since.

harddrv - I met Andy on channel very early on, but didn't meet him face to face till June 1996. We've become good friends and chat on channel much of the time. He's a very nice guy and really good company.

Jack22Lad - I met Jack in September 1997 when a bunch of us joined the live studio audience for Russ & Jono's breakfast shown on Virgin Radio. Prior to that we had chatted lots on IRC.

Jammach - I met Gavin at Pride 1996, after many hours of on-channel chatting.

Jayse - I was introduced to Jason in September 1996, by Gorky, when he needed somewhere to stay while down in the south from his home in the hell-hole known as Halifax and is working on taking everyone to Gay Heaven.

johnr-uk - I met John in December 1996 while visiting NJB and UK-David.

Jonty - I met Jonathan for the first time in September 1997 at a #gayberks meet for scoffs in Reading.

Lakesman - I met Peter in June 1996 when we took me to London one evening to visit several pubs/clubs for a fun evening out - thanks Peter for showing me lots of interesting places.

luas - I met Paul for the first time at Pride 1996, he's another that I've spoken to much on channel.

Lunchie - I first met Andy at a short-notice #uk-poofs meet at the Southampton fair. I think he should be congratulated for the amount of effort he's spent on figgers, one of the #uk-poofs 'bots', and his work with the mailing list, organising the Oxford picnic and the many other things he does to help the rest of us. Thanks for that Andy.

Mark - X vwe - no, I'm not a size-queen *lies* ;) - I met Mark on New Year's Day 1997. We'd chatted loads on IRC and Mark is yet another brilliant listener, not just a big willy!! We're now a couple and we live together :)))

Marqlet - I met Mark in June 1996 at Lunchie's party, again, we've chatted loads before.

Mentor - I met Steph for the first time at one of the Southampton bashes, back in May 1996. He's on-line almost as much as I am! Steph is one of the few people that is taller than me!

Mikey - I met Mikey at Orville's in Portsmouth. He's a pal of Defiant's and is a really funny guy, great fun to be with. He isn't yet on IRC, but has heard enough about it to get him interested.

Chocobo - Nico and I met at several of the Southampton bashes.

NJB - I met Neil one evening in December 1996 after many chats on IRC. We have seen quite a bit more of each other since.

Noddy_UK - I met Jan at one of the Southampton meets in May 1996 - we've been for a few beers and met several times since.

One2One - Jason (ex-son4bear, Byte-Me & Emerald) and I met at one of the Southampton meets and have become quite close friends.

paul-scot - I met Paul while he was on a business trip to London. We met for a few beers and a meal. It was nice to meet one of the Scottish contingent from channel.

Pauly - I bumped into Paul, before I discovered IRC, following him seeing an item I submitted to the Orange discussion list. Something in my signature (!) made him start SMSing me (Orange text messaging) and our close friendship has developed from there. Paul is finally back on IRC and #uk-poofs *hurrah* (Aug 1996). Paul is one of the funniest and nicest guys I know. He is also so incredibly generous with his personal fortune of millions, that he's now practically bankrupt - but he's still my friend because he's my friend! (the last sentence was a suggestion from Paul!).

Quantum, formerly ChrisD2 - I met Chris in April 1996, when he decided to join in with a short-notice #uk-poofs meet at the fair in Southampton. Chris is from Windsor, just down the road from me, and we have grown to be good friends. I see him most weekends and at times in the week for a few beers. We chat lots on IRC.

ScotSkin - I met Lee on one of my trips to Glasgow in the summer of 1996.

Shanester - I met Shane on Christmas eve 1996, when I went to stay for Christmas.

Shevvy - I met Keith in March 1996 on my first day on #uk-poofs. He was kind enough to take me to my first gay pub, the Jolly Farmer in Oxford. I was terrified and was sure I'd run away if I was to meet him there. We met at his place and after some wine and food, he took me to the pub - what a smashing bunch of people I met on my first venture on to the gay scene. I met andy-oxfo and Nadim, amongst others, at the pub.

speck - I met Andrew in October 1996 while he was over from Canada. He's a regular on IRC.

SpikeUK - I met David at the Jolly Farmer in Oxford in June 1996 on one of my visits, though we'd met on channel ages before.

stephen3 - I met Stephen back in March 1996, yet another all-round nice guy.

Stressed_Out - I met Matt on ICQ in December 1999, and we finally met face to face in January 2002. He's a photographer and musician in between the very hard and valuable work that he does as a support worker for criminally insane adults with learning disabilities. I couldn't believe how horny he looked, especially for a ginger!

Stup - I met Stuart one evening in September 1996 - we went for a few beers to the Greyhound at Colnbrook.

the_bod - I met Martin at the first Southampton bash I attended in March 1996. He, along with bignick organises these monthly meets. EMail the list server with SUBSCRIBE GAYSOUTH in the first line of the message if you want to be put on the mailing list for these events.

The_DJ - I first met Dale on channel early on and soon met him in person. He's a *really* good listener and we've grown to be very close friends. He's also been good enough to put me and others up after the Southampton meets. Dale, you're a real darling!

thingy - I met James at one of the Southampton bashes. He's a fun guy and is now a good friend. We chat lots on channel.

UB8Jay - I met Jason at a Brighton meet in August 1996.

UK-David - I met David one evening in December 1996 on one of my flying social visits.

UKdrew - Drew is ukgem's significant other and is also a great host and an all round nice guy.

ukgem - gem is just that, a real gem, he's a great host and a whiz in the kitchen. A very nice guy to know and yet another good listener.

vaseline - I met Scott on the same evening in July 1996 that I met Gordon, likewise, we've chatted loads on IRC and it was good to meet.
